Motivation fades. Habits don't. Five simple ways to keep training when you don't feel like it, from LIT founder Kory.

Why is consistency more important than intensity?
Because results come from what you repeat. One brutal week followed by three missed ones builds nothing. An average session, done again and again, builds everything. I'd rather see you show up for thirty honest minutes four times a week than kill yourself once and disappear.
How do you stay consistent when motivation is gone?
You stop needing it. Motivation is a feeling, and feelings come and go. Discipline is a decision you made earlier. Put your sessions in your calendar like appointments. Lay your gear out the night before. When the alarm goes, the choice is already made. You're just following through.
What's the smallest workout that still counts?
Whatever you'll actually do on your worst day. Set a floor: ten minutes, one walk, three sets. On a good day you'll do far more. On a bad day the floor keeps the streak alive, and the streak is the habit.
How do you get back on track after missing a week?
Don't try to make it up. Just do the next session. Missing one day is life. Missing two starts a new habit, so the move is simple: never miss twice. No guilt, no punishment workouts. Show up and carry on.
Does tracking help you stay consistent?
Yes, if you keep it simple. A tick on a calendar for every session is enough. Seeing the run of ticks makes you not want to break it. You don't need an app or a spreadsheet. You need proof to yourself that you're the kind of person who shows up.
Live Intentionally Today. That's not about one big day. It's about today, again, tomorrow.

Common questions
Still wondering? Answered from the piece itself.
How many days a week should I work out to stay consistent?
Pick a number you can hit every week, even a busy one. Three or four is plenty to start. Consistency at three beats burning out at six.
How long does it take to build a workout habit?
It varies from person to person. What matters is that the routine gets easier the longer you keep it, so focus on not missing twice rather than counting days.
Is it better to work out in the morning or evening for consistency?
Whichever time you can protect. Mornings work for many people because fewer things get in the way, but the best time is the one you'll keep.
What should I do on days I have no energy?
Do your floor: a short walk, some mobility, a few easy sets. Showing up small still counts and keeps the habit alive.
