LIT stands for Live Intentionally Today. It is on the back of our hoodies, across our tanks and down the strap of every sling bag. Here is what intentional living means to us, and five small ways to practise it starting this morning.

The short answer: LIT stands for Live Intentionally Today. It means making today's choices on purpose instead of on autopilot: how you train, what you eat, who you spend time with, what you wear and what you skip. Not someday. Today, because today is the only day you can actually do anything with.
Why "today" is the important word
Most motivation is aimed at the future: next Monday, next month, next year. The trouble is that the future never arrives as a day you can act in. It always shows up as today. Live Intentionally Today is a reminder that the only workout that changes anything is the one you do, and the only good habit that counts is the one you keep this morning.
That is why the motto is on the clothes and not just on a wall somewhere. A hoodie you put on at 6am is a better reminder than a resolution you made in January.
Where you will find it
- Across the back of the Live Intentionally Tee, in a bold distressed print on 260 gsm heavyweight cotton. Clean up front, loud in back.
- Over a full barbell graphic on the back of the LIT Barbell Tank, the one built for the gym.
- On the back of the LIT Logo Hoodie and the LIT Hoodie, across the shoulders.
- Down the shoulder strap of the LIT Tactical Sling, so your motto goes wherever you do.
- Small, under the back collar of the Fight Depression and Beat Anxiety tees.
What intentional living is (and is not)
Intentional living is often sold as minimalism, morning routines and perfectly organised shelves. It can be those things, but that is not the point. The point is that you decide, rather than drift. A rest day you chose is intentional. A rest day you fell into because you scrolled until midnight is not. Same day off, completely different feeling.
It is also not about being intense all the time. Some of the most intentional people we know are the calmest. They just know what matters to them and spend their time accordingly.
Five ways to live intentionally today
1. Decide the one thing
Before you look at your phone, decide the one thing that would make today a good day if it were the only thing you did. Do that first.
2. Move on purpose
A planned 30-minute session beats a vague plan to "get to the gym at some point". Write down when, where and what. If you want the plan written for you, that is what LIT Crew is for.
3. Eat like you meant to
Not perfectly, just deliberately. Know what lunch is before you are hungry.
4. Choose your people
Send the message to the friend you have been meaning to call. Training partners, a group chat, a forum: the people around you are the strongest habit you have.
5. Lay it out the night before
Gym bag packed, clothes out, alarm set. The most intentional mornings are decided the evening before. It is a lot easier to go training when the hoodie is already on the chair.
Why put a motto on clothing?
Because clothes are the first decision you make every day, and the one other people see. Wearing the words is a small public promise. It is also a conversation starter: plenty of people have been asked "What does LIT stand for?" at the gym, and that is the best possible question.
We started LIT Apparel to make clothes for people who train with purpose and live the same way. Everything else, the heavyweight cotton, the mountain on the pocket, the Crew, grows out of those three words.
