In Kory’s words
Why these shorts
I wanted one pair of shorts that doesn’t care what the day has planned. A training day is rarely one thing. There’s lifting, there’s conditioning, and sometimes there’s a run or a walk after it.
The Training Shorts are built for all of it: light enough that you forget you’re wearing them, with enough to them that you’re not fixing them between sets. That’s why they’re the first piece on this page.
The interview
- Why mesh?
Because heat is what slows you down halfway through a session. Double-layer honeycomb mesh keeps air moving, and the second layer gives it more body than the thin single-layer mesh most gym shorts use.
- Why a 4-inch inseam?
Nothing in the way. Squats, lunges, sprints, box jumps: longer shorts bunch at the knee or ride up. Four inches stays clear, and it doesn’t look like you borrowed someone else’s.
- How should they fit?
True to size. They’re unisex, from S to 2XL, with a 2-inch elastic waistband and a drawstring, so if you’re between sizes the drawstring takes up the slack. Most people should go with their usual size.
- Which colour would you start with?
Cocoa. It’s the colour the line started in, and it goes with almost everything else we make. If you want something louder, Red Camo is the one people notice.
- What aren’t they for?
Carrying your whole life. There are two side pockets for keys and a card, but no back pocket and no zip. On a long run I’d keep my phone somewhere else.
- How do I look after them?
Wash them cold and inside out, then hang them up or tumble dry low. Don’t iron straight onto the print and don’t bleach them. That’s it.
